This Week's Sign That Rolling Stone is Bored

Rolling Stone is asking readers (the few that are left) to come up with the All-Time Greatest 80's Movie Songs. I can't remember what song was in Howard the Duck, but if "Holiday Road" by Lindsey Buckingham from National Lampoon's Vacation doesn't top the list, well then, the list doesn't really count now, does it?

I think there was a movie where Eddie Deezen rapped..find it for me and you can keep the AFCW dvd. Seriously though, I vote for Duran Duran "View to a kill".

Nick Cordle just text messaged me with "Who's Johnny" by DeBarge from the movie "Short Circuit." Seems about right.

speaking o' wich..I am trying to name this movie for ever and cant place it. tried googling and everything. it goes like this. Couple of kids buy an old farm house to make/fix up into a dance club, but the town/bank/white man is opposed to it and wants to develop the property or something so they try to bring down the kids, but the kids got spunk and prevail, big dance party at the end. terrible movie, but cannot find it anywhere.

I've got another one I need help with. Five kids -- I think they're all white -- have to spend time in detention. Only it's not an hour of detention after school with Mr. Ortmeier. They have to spend an antire 8-5 shift on a freaking Saturday locked down. I think one of the chicks had a firey red bush that the hessian kid tried to bite, another was a wrestler or boxer who made out with a chick with head lice, and the other kid just whined a lot. Can't remember the name of that movie for the life of me either, but I think the theme song was "Sanctify Yourself" by Simple Minds.

I didn't realize there was a "Footloose 2: Electric Boogaloo".

Seriously, never heard of the flick, had to be a Footloose knock-off though.

Sounds like a cross between "Kidco" and "Fast Forward."

Check out this clip from a young Jean Claude Van Damme in 1984's Breakin. I am hearing a remake of footloose is in the works.

The reference to "Kidco" just won my obscurity award. The plot was based around cow shit, was it not?

Just keep typing it like a mantra: Nick Cordle

Hey TRB, how about "Heavenly Bodies"? That kind of fits your description...

What did Nick Cordle ever do to any of you? ; )
